Coheed and Cambria – A Favor House Atlantic

Well, it is about time that Coheed and Cambria get some much due recognition, it has been a while since these guys have been together, maybe 2-3 albums worth, maybe more.

My interpretation is that of a song about a relationship that perhaps was never meant to work. In the end one party sees that things should never have been anyway and decides to run. The song seems to be very open to interpretation but that is my take after listening to this song many, many times.

~david maciasYour eyes tell the stories of a day you wish you could
Recall the moments that once have
Retrack the footsteps that brought us to this favor
I wouldn’t ask this of you

Good eye, sniper
Here I’ll shoot, you run
The words you scribbled on the walls
With the loss of friends you didn’t have
I’ll call you when the time is right
Are you in or are you out?
For them all to know the end of us all

Run quick, they’re behind us
Didn’t think we’d ever make it
This close to safety in one piece
Now you wanna kill me in the act of what could maybe
Save us from sleep and what we are

Good eye, sniper
Now I shoot, you run
The words you scribbled on the walls
The loss of friends you didn’t have
I’ll call you when the time is right
Are you in or are you out?
For them all to know the end of us all

Bye bye beautiful
Don’t bother to write
Disturbed by your words and they’re calling all cars
Face step, let down.
Face step, step down.

The words you scribbled on the walls
With the loss of friends you didn’t have
I’ll call you when the time is right
Are you in or are you out?
For them all to know

Bye bye beautiful
Don’t bother to write
Disturbed by your words and they’re calling all cars
Face step, let down.
Face step, step down.

Bye bye beautiful
Don’t bother to write
Disturbed by your words and they’re calling all cars
Face step, let down.
Face step, step down.

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

Unfreaking believeable, 10 years ago one of my favorite paintings, The Scream by Edvard Munch, was stolen from the Oslo Museum, however it was recovered 3 months later after the perpetrators were trying to extort ransom money from the musuem.

Well, ladies an gentleman it has happened again. However, this time it was not only the scream but also Madonna by the same artist.

The Scream by Edvard Munch (this was my expression when I read it had been stolen)

Edvard Munch’s Madonna

This leads me to believe that the Oslo museum has a huge security problem. I just hope the authorities are able to find these pieces before it is too late.

Chevelle – Vitamin R

This songs reminds me of Comfortable Liar, I hope Chevelle’s new album is as good as their old one, Wander What’s Next.

Not sure what to make of this song, so I will leave it like it is.

Some will learn many do
Cover up or spread it out
Turn around had enough
Pick and choose or pass it on
Buying in heading for
Suffer now or suffer then
It’s bad enough I want the fear
Need the fear cause he’s alone

And he has become

Well if they’re making it (making it)
Then they’re pushing it (pushing it)
And they’re leading us along
The hassle of (hassle of)
All the screaming fits (screaming fits)
That panic makes remorse

After all what’s the point
Course levitation is possible
If you’re a fly achieved and gone
There’s time for this and so much more
It’s typical create a world
A special place of my design
To never cope or never care
Just use the key cause he’s alone

And he has become
He’s alone
And he has become

Well if they’re making it (making it)
Then they’re pushing it (pushing it)
And they’re leading us along
The hassle of (hassle of)
All the screaming fits (screaming fits)
That panic makes remorse

Over and over a slave became
Over and over a slave became
Over and over a slave became
Over and over a slave

Well if they’re making it (making it)
Then they’re pushing it (pushing it)
And they’re leading us along
The hassle of (hassle of)
All the screaming fits (screaming fits)
That panic held before

Well if they’re making it (making it)
Then they’re pushing it (pushing it)
And they’re leading us along
Like a cancer caused (cancer caused)
All the screaming fits (screaming fits)
And their panic makes remorse

Maria Full of Grace

Excellent film. I don’t think I could swallow 62 grapes whole, but I am sure somewhere someone has or someone is. The most perplexing thing is that you see the quality of life of people in such countries as Colombia or Guatemala and you think, what other options do they have? Money needs to be brought into the home, studying takes away from working and it costs money. What do you do? Why wouldn’t you do it? Is it really possible to "make it" in a 3rd world country?

Requeim for a Dream is the best drug movie to watch, but this one is pretty close to depicting the harsh reality of the drug world.

Papa Roach – Getting Away with Murder

Decent song not one of their best but it is worth the listen atleast.

~david maciasSomewhere beyond happiness and sadness
I need to calculate
What creates my own madness
And I’m addicted to your punishment
And you’re the master
And I am waiting for disaster

I feel irrational
So confrontational
To tell the truth I am
Getting away with murder
It isn’t possible
To never tell the truth
But the reality is I’m getting away with murder
Getting away, Getting away, Getting away

I drink my drink and I don’t even want to
I think my thoughts when I don’t even need to
I never look back cause I don’t even want to
And I don’t need to
Because I’m getting away with murder

I feel irrational
So confrontational
To tell the truth I am
Getting away with murder
It isn’t possible
To never tell the truth
But the reality is I’m getting away with murder

Getting away, Getting away, Getting away, Getting away, Getting away, Getting away, Getting away, Getting away, Getting away with murder

Somewhere beyond happiness and sadness
I need to calculate
What creates my own madness
And I’m addicted to your punishment
And I’m the master
And I am craving this disaster

I feel irrational
So confrontational
To tell the truth I am
Getting away with murder
It isn’t possible
To never tell the truth
But the reality is I’m getting away with murder
Getting away, Getting away, Getting away

I feel irrational
So confrontational
To tell the truth I am
Getting away with murder
It isn’t possible
To never tell the truth
But the reality is I’m getting away with murder

Finally got subversion working!

I took some hacking away at this but finally I can check out my projects as well as commit any changes made! This should make development a whole lot simpler!

The Killers – Somebody Told Me

I am really trying not to post so many freaking music lyrics actually working on some "actual" content but it takes more time and well the job seems to require most of my time, the nerve!

The Killers bringing back memories of The Ramones.

~david maciasBreaking my back just to know your name
Seventeen tracks and I’ve had it with this game
I’m breaking my back just to know your name
But heaven ain’t close in a place like this
Anything goes but don’t blink you might miss
Cause heaven ain’t close in a place like this
I said heaven ain’t close in a place like this
Bring it back down, bring it back down tonight
Never thought I’d let a rumour ruin my moonlight

Well somebody told me
You had a boyfriend
Who looks like a girlfriend
That I had in February of last year
It’s not confidential
I’ve got potential

Ready? Let’s roll onto something new
Taking its toll and I’m leaving without you
Ready? Let’s roll onto something new
But heaven ain’t close in a place like this
Anything goes but don’t blink you might miss

Cause heaven ain’t close in a place like this
I said heaven ain’t close in a place like this
Bring it back down, bring it back down tonight
Never thought I’d let a rumour ruin my moonlight

Well somebody told me
You had a boyfriend
Who looks like a girlfriend
That I had in February of last year
It’s not confidential
I’ve got potential
A rushin’, a rushin’ around

Pace yourself from me
I said maybe baby please
But I just don’t know now
When all I wanna do is try

Somebody told me
You had a boyfriend
Who looks like a girlfriend
That I had in February of last year
It’s not confidential
I’ve got potential
A rushin’, a rushin’ around

Bowling for Soup – 1985

Bowling for Soup, who by the way put on a great show, seem them a couple of times, bring us 1985. Like most of their other BforS songs light and fast. This one is about growing old and maybe not really realizing it.Some day your kids will tell you, you are uncool.

Debbie just hit the wall
she didn’t have it all
one Prozac a day
husbands a CPA
her dreams went out the door
when she turned twenty four
only been with one man
what happen to her plan?

She was gonna be an actress
she was gonna be a star
she was gonna shake her ass
on the hood of white snake’s car
her yellow SUV is now the enemy
looks at her average life
and nothing has been alright

Bruce Springstein, Madonna
way before Nirvana
there was U2 and Blondie
and music still on MTV
her two kids in high school
they tell her that she’s uncool
but she still preoccupies
with 19, 19, 1985

She’s seen all the classics
she knows every line
Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink
even Saint Elmo’s Fire
she rocked out to Wham
not a big Limp Biskit fan
thought she’d get a hand
on a member of Duran Duran

Wears the mini-skirt made of snake skin
and who’s the other guy singing in Van Halen
when did reality become T.V.
what ever happen to sitcoms, game shows
(on the radio there was)

She hates time make it stop
when did Motley Crew become classic rock?
And when did Ozzy become an actor?
Please make this stop
Stop!
And bring back
