The Killers – Somebody Told Me

I am really trying not to post so many freaking music lyrics actually working on some "actual" content but it takes more time and well the job seems to require most of my time, the nerve!

The Killers bringing back memories of The Ramones.

~david maciasBreaking my back just to know your name
Seventeen tracks and I’ve had it with this game
I’m breaking my back just to know your name
But heaven ain’t close in a place like this
Anything goes but don’t blink you might miss
Cause heaven ain’t close in a place like this
I said heaven ain’t close in a place like this
Bring it back down, bring it back down tonight
Never thought I’d let a rumour ruin my moonlight

Well somebody told me
You had a boyfriend
Who looks like a girlfriend
That I had in February of last year
It’s not confidential
I’ve got potential

Ready? Let’s roll onto something new
Taking its toll and I’m leaving without you
Ready? Let’s roll onto something new
But heaven ain’t close in a place like this
Anything goes but don’t blink you might miss

Cause heaven ain’t close in a place like this
I said heaven ain’t close in a place like this
Bring it back down, bring it back down tonight
Never thought I’d let a rumour ruin my moonlight

Well somebody told me
You had a boyfriend
Who looks like a girlfriend
That I had in February of last year
It’s not confidential
I’ve got potential
A rushin’, a rushin’ around

Pace yourself from me
I said maybe baby please
But I just don’t know now
When all I wanna do is try

Somebody told me
You had a boyfriend
Who looks like a girlfriend
That I had in February of last year
It’s not confidential
I’ve got potential
A rushin’, a rushin’ around

  1. I’m not a big fan of some of the music you advertise on this site, but the artist Ani DiFranco has some incredible lyrics. Check her out. She was just in Dallas.

  2. Well, I actually had tickets to Ani when she was here, but decided not to go because of some work I had to do. I will give you this, she is a great artist and her music is good. However, the songs that I post on here usually are songs which just hit me, they sway me in a way that some songs rarely do. Either the lyrics or the beat just make me feel all tingly inside. Which is something that to this date, none of Ani Difranco’s stuff has done for me. If you have any specific recommendations please let me know.

  3. **"Little Plastic Castle"
    **"32 Flavors"
    **"*censored* You"
    "Swim"
    "Bodily"
    "Old Old Song"
    "To the Teeth"
    "Jukebox"
    "Fuel"
    "Work Your Way Out"
She’s mellowed out a lot now. I prefer her older music, but she is still and always will be extremely talented.

  4. I am a poster girl with no poster.

Nice recommendations, listening to all of them now, I actually had about 3 of the songs listed, however they were not on my playlist. Disenchanted women. I think Ani Difranco would have been a womanizer had she been a man. Imagine that.

Start on the inside and work your way out.
