I need to come up with an easier way to update WP, although it only take 10 minutes, it really could be streamlined.

This song is amazing. The duet between Martha Wainwright and the lead singer from Snow Patrol is great. My favorite part is the first verse specially if you’ve ever had a long distance relationship and you long for that loved one.

I find the map and draw a straight line
Over rivers, farms, and state lines
The distance from ‘A’ to where you’d be
It’s only finger-lengths that I see
I touch the place where I’d find your face
My finger in creases of distant dark places
I hang my coat up in the first bar
There is no peace that I’ve found so far
The laughter penetrates my silence
As drunken men find flaws in science
Their words mostly noises
Ghosts with just voices
Your words in my memory
Are like music to me
I’m miles from where you are,
I lay down on the cold ground
I, I pray that something picks me up
And sets me down in your warm arms
After I have travelled so far
We’d set the fire to the third bar
We’d share each other like an island
Until exhausted, close our eyelids
And dreaming, pick up from
The last place we left off
Your soft skin is weeping
A joy you can’t keep in
I’m miles from where you are,
I lay down on the cold ground
And I, I pray that something picks me up
and sets me down in your warm arms
I’m miles from where you are,
I lay down on the cold ground
and I, I pray that something picks me up
and sets me down in your warm arms
So, it seems that when recording his latest albums, Ben Folds, decided to record a second album with the same song titles, but fake songs and leak that on the p2p networks. While this does seem a bit funny, it really doesn’t have much point. Either way, it was interesting to hear some of the fake and real songs played right next to each other. All in all, Ben had a lot of energy and the concert had a pretty good vibe. Missy Higgins opened for him and she had a great voice and some good tunes… reminded me a bit of Fiona Apple.
Some pics from the show.

I can’t believe it’s been close to a month since I last posted anything on my website. My new project is really kicking my butt, but I’m learning a ton and it will be a multi-million dollar solutions once everything is said and done. Regardless, it is not all work and no fun in Columbus, OH. This past week, Death Cab for Cutie, strolled into town and rocked hard. This was by far better than the DFW show I had seen a few months ago. The sound was so much better and the venue was so much cozier. A great show.

We had a great view, but my camera didn’t do any justice to the band.

Well, I’m surprised it took this long. Read all about it. I’m a huge fan of Jabber and I’m hope the best for the platform and an easy integration into Cisco’s Unified Messaging technology.

Just a note that I finally got a round to upgrading WP, life has been so busy with my new project, will try and posts some updates soon.

So, I ran into an strange problems today. I have a MS SQL database column which contains some NULL values. So, I wanted the calls with a NULL value to go in one direction while the calls without a NULL value to go another. Inside a IF NODE I tried:
Variable = “” or Variable = ” ” or Variable = “NULL” or Variable = NULL
None of those worked. At the end just putting the Variable by itself inside the IF node worked. I guess it makes sense, but when dealing with NULL values it can be tricky at times and behavior might vary.

So, my hotel in downtown Columbus used to be a bank. Here is a picture of where breakfast is served. The whole place is really nice and if you’re ever in Columbus, I highly recommend it.

So, PhotoShop is the best when it comes to image editing, but for most of us normal people it is overkill. So, what are some other tools which work just as great? Paint.Net! I’ve used plenty of other alternatives, like The Gimp, but it doesn’t compare to Paint.Net on Windows. Just a little tidbit from me to you.

I was done with my last project and was only supposed to do remote support for a few weeks. However, some issues starting popping up and I was flown in to help smooth things out. We came in on Monday and by Wednesday things were really bad. However, the customer had discovered some bad hardware and bad router configs which needed to be changed. Come Thursday morning we didn’t have much going on. Funny how everyone blames the phone system when the network fails, but packets are packets and if the pipe breaks not just your voice will spill out. Regardless, Thursday was a pretty slow day and the everyone was in good spirits, including the customer. The customer PM likes to draw and she made portraits of us all, here is mine. I have to say, I like it a lot.
