David get’s a silver badge

I try to stay involved with Cisco’s forum as to try to give back to the community a bit as well as trying to get some knowledge from the masses.  While I’m not a know it all it’s nice to have a little bit of recognition.  Last week i went from Bronze to Silver, which based on points others award you for the answers you provide. :-)

BadgesI have a long way to go before getting those 25k points… wonder if I could turn them in for cool Cisco gear?

Rio Rancho, NM

I’m out here to do a presentation and this place is absolutely beautiful. The sun is out and shining brightly, while the temperature is in the mid 30s. I’m staying at this beautiful resort called the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and the place is immense with a lot of great things to do and see. The room I have, while it takes around 10 minutes to walk to it, has an amazing view of the mountains. Here are two pictures I took.

One thing I also love is the fact that gardens here consist of rocks, sand, and some shrubs. My type of gardening.

Last six months of my cell phone.

It really amazes how something as simple as a cell phone bill gives you an insight on how busy someone’s life has been. Through out the years, this has been very true for me.

Ultimately, the above has let me to change my plan to Sprint’s everything plan. And while I used to try and not go over my minutes, now I make as many calls as possible from my cell phone… not sure if this was a good move by Sprint, but I’ll try my best to get my money’s worth.

I’m alive.

This December has been crazy. The usual holiday travel and work taking up most of my time. However, the other big thing is moving and that has just sucked the life out of me. So much to do, with so little time. Will update the site once I get settled in.

My Blog Celebrates 6 Years.

Edit:
So, talking to a friend, I’ve realized that I missed one year when doing my calculations, my site has been in operation for 6 years. :-)

Original Post:

Wow. I was doing some maintenance on my site (see previous story) and noticed that my first entry was in Oct 13 of 2003. Yes, six years ago! I really can’t believe I’ve kept up with it this long. So, here’s to another 5 years. By the way, this was my very first posting.

13 Oct

So things are starting pretty slow, expect very little until my life slows down some, or I miraculously discover that I can slow down time, or travel back in time…

Perhaps you will be waiting for a while in order for this site to be any where near completion.

Five years later and life has not slowed down and I have not figured out how to travel back in time. :(
